The Teen Summit is an annual, one-day event that honors the perspectives of young adults aged 15-22. The event consists of a series of 10-15 minute presentations about social justice issues. The performative presentations address topics including gender identity, body shaming, and racial inequity. The Teen Summit was founded as the culminating event for an undergraduate course Brian co-designed called Adolescent Development and Pop Culture. For this course, he invited teens from local high schools to take the class along with undergraduate students in the School of Education who were preparing to be middle and high school teachers.
